I like these photos of your grandparents enormously.  It made me think that despite the billions of photos that people now take, endlessly phonesnapping - sadly they have very few formal portraits like these.  Outside perhaps of school photos.  Which somehow have other purpose, and are taken in volume in usually grim clothes with those disastrous backgrounds.
