Rugby mornings again

Hoping you are having the best possible time in your new job.  Here it's back to sporting business as usual, Aiden is having a love affair with rugby at the moment, so a real delight getting up early to go and watch him play in crisp winter morning sun. Game was very balanced, 5 - 5 until the last quarter, and then just broke free and they ended up smashing Valley Fort 22-5; have a nice day bru.

Beautiful morning light, love this place so much - every morning.

Ange's greeting touch on the way past Holly's paw.  Too early for fat-cat sleeping at the bottom of the bed.

Team chat in the morning's rays

Ref unhappy with something happening, quick lecture.

Action unfolding, Vally Fort scrum-half gets boshed as Aiden heads into the traffic.  Love the expression on the right.

Keeping again

Back in goal for APSS - had a cracking game, kept a clean sheet until the last quarter when they conceded a penalty.  Went the right way but could only get finger-tips to it.  Final score was a rather unflattering 6-1.

The not junk weekend

We were invited on a junk trip on Saturday, but it turned out that the junk was far from it.  Actually it was a sort of motor super-yacht.  Seen these before, but never been on one.  Actually pretty fascinating.

Pieter on the phone in the marina, while people get ready to go

Little beach next to Mils, beautiful water.

Evan tackles a quality supper of bacon and cheese rolls with Sprite.

After Sunday morning's game, cleaning the bumps and scrapes on Aiden from his rugby match against Sandy Bay.

Village braai

The festive season wound down with a village braai - pig(s) on spits - arranged by Simon and Nash.  It was really cool - though we arrived just at the end of the winter rays - golden hour - so sadly only a couple in that - then night.

Danika chatting to Dana, catching the last rays

Dana - mega singing star and generally all round cool person (from a cool family)

The board

Aiden got a new skim-board for Christmas, but was unable to take it out for a run for one reason and another until yesterday.  Then we nipped down to the beach to take advantage of the bitterly cold, mid winter weather.  He seems really pleased with it.  Ev had a go, gouged some skin off the top of his foot :-/
