Aiden's Sai Kung Stingrays team was in top form this morning, winning all three of their games. |
|
Their first game against Sandy Bay saw some decent sized opposition, Aiden goes in for contact. |
Their game against Vally Fort was probably their best, Aiden had some good runs - he's really learned to put his head down and run at the opposition, runs straight too. In this particular sequence the cover defence got him in the end, but he got his pass off and his mate scored. I think what is most satisfying for me in all this is that they really play as a team, and there is a strong sense of camaraderie - much of which is down to their coach Matt (running behind the blondie in the picture above) - who has the best possible way of working with kids - he's just terrific, value adding, life changing in small ways (the ones that really can count). I just love watching him play - beats a test match for me any day.
Later, on the drive again against Vally Fort...
And making his presence felt with an only just enough arm to be legal shoulder hit (in the finest tradition of South African rugby).
